ESNNA code of conduct
Our commitment
Salkantay Go absolutely rejects the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA) in all its forms and adheres to the Code of Conduct against ESNNA in tourism promoted by Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR).
Actions we take
- Train our staff, guides and suppliers in preventing and reporting ESNNA.
- Include clauses rejecting ESNNA in supplier contracts.
- Inform our travelers about this policy and current Peruvian law.
- Never promote, facilitate or tolerate activities involving minors for sexual purposes.
- Report any suspicious case to the authorities.
The law in Peru
Peruvian law punishes the sexual exploitation of minors with prison sentences, including those who promote, facilitate or favor it, even through tourism services.
